On April 9 of this year, a delegation comprising representatives of the Nordic countries’ parliaments paid a visit to Nordic International University.
The members of parliament from the Nordic countries — Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland — who had participated in the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held for the first time in Central Asia in our capital city, Tashkent, became closely acquainted with Nordic University, established in cooperation with Finland.
Acting as a strong bridge of friendship connecting our nations and successfully implementing parliamentary diplomacy, the 30 distinguished guests, who are fulfilling the honorable mission of exchanging the best traditions and advanced experiences of the Nordic parliaments and fostering mutual efforts in our country, were warmly and respectfully welcomed by the university’s leadership and community.
The delegation members were introduced to a historical exhibition at Nordic University, presented by the Government of Finland, featuring photographs of the great Finnish traveler, statesman, and public figure Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. The exhibition showcased photos taken during his 1906–1908 journey along the Great Silk Road from Turkestan to Beijing, vividly depicting the daily and festive lives of Eastern people, offering the guests a virtual journey into our ancient culture.
The guests enjoyed the atmosphere of Navruz and the Spring Festival at Nordic University, experiencing our national values, customs, and traditions of hospitality. Freshly baked green somsa from the tandoor was served hot, alongside traditional spring dishes and delicacies unique to our people. Uzbek doppi (skullcaps), qiyiq( is a traditional belt made from atlas, a brightly colored silk fabric with a glossy finish),national garments, and souvenir gifts presented to the guests brought them great joy.
Particularly impressive was the performance by the “Nordic Tarona” ensemble, whose selection of European and national pop songs astonished the guests and spontaneously drew them into dance.
This visit not only strengthened diplomatic ties but also paved the way for broader cultural cooperation. Prior to the Assembly, the parliamentary representatives, led by Vice-Rector of Nordic University, Nuriddin Muradullaev, had the opportunity to explore the historical landmarks and monuments of the ancient city of Samarkand.
At the conclusion of the visit, the esteemed delegation wrote their impressions, words of gratitude, and warm remarks in the Nordic University's "Dil Izhorlari"(expressions of the heart) book.

“Xalq so‘zi”da dolzarb tahlil
Finlandiyaning O‘zbekiston, Tojikiston hamda Turkmanistondagi sobiq Favqulodda va muxtor elchisi, hozirda Evropa Qo‘shnichilik Kengashining tashqi maslahatchisi, Xalqaro Nordik universiteti (https://nordicuniversity.org/) Faxriy professori Ilkka Räisänenning "Yangi O‘zbekiston va tinchlik diplomatiyasi" nomli maqolasi eʼlon qilindi.
Xalqaro masalalar bo‘yicha ekspertning ushbu maqolasida Yangi O‘zbekistonning tashqi siyosatdagi faol va ochiq pozitsiyasi, tinchlik va muloqotga asoslangan diplomatiyasi chuqur tahlil etilgan. Unda Markaziy Osiyoda barqarorlikni mustahkamlash, mintaqaviy integratsiyani kuchaytirish hamda Yevropa mamlakatlari bilan hamkorlikni yangi bosqichga olib chiqish masalalari asosli dalillar bilan yoritilgan.
Maqolada global geosiyosiy vaziyat fonida O‘zbekistonning muvozanatli va pragmatik yondashuvi, xavfsizlik, iqtisodiy hamkorlik, “yashil” rivojlanish, raqamli transformatsiya kabi ustuvor yo‘nalishlar alohida tahlil qilingan. Shuningdek, “O‘zbekiston – 2030” strategiyasi doirasida amalga oshirilayotgan islohotlarning xalqaro maydondagi o‘rni va ahamiyati ekspert nuqtai nazaridan ochib berilgan.
Mazkur tahliliy material bugungi murakkab va tez o‘zgarayotgan xalqaro muhitda O‘zbekiston qanday tamoyillar asosida o‘z tashqi siyosatini olib borayotgani, mintaqaviy va global jarayonlarga qanday munosabat bildirilayotganini anglashni istagan o‘quvchilar uchun muhim manba bo‘lib xizmat qiladi.
New Educational Experiences from China
The participation of the Nordic International University ( https://nordicuniversity.org/ ) educational delegation in an international professional development program held in Chongqing, People’s Republic of China, provided our faculty with an opportunity to take a broader view of their professional practice.
Within the framework of the program, activities were organized on AI-based language teaching, digital assessment and feedback systems, innovative lesson design, and practice-oriented workshops adapted to modern learning environments.
Academic and research visits were also conducted, during which education models integrated with industry were closely studied. In particular, the delegation visited:
• Chongqing Industry Polytechnic University — including the Schools of Economics and Management, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, as well as the Nanchuan Campus

Through these visits, international experience-sharing and scientific cooperation were established with these prestigious institutions, laying a strong foundation for future joint projects.
