A meeting of the Public Council under the DTM (State Testing Center) of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been held.
The meeting of the Public Council under the DTM (State Testing Center) of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held with the participation of the members of the Council, including Sherzod Mustafakulov, the rector of Nordic International University. The meeting reviewed the work done by the DTM over the past 9 months.
According to the reports, a total of 1,146,744 applicants were registered for admission to 631 academic programs in 114 higher educational institutions across the country (compared to 948,211 applicants in 2021). This represents an increase of 198,533 applicants, or 21% more than the previous year.
The competition rate was 6.3 applicants per place on average (compared to 6.4 in 2021). This year, for the first time, 12 higher educational institutions introduced distance learning, and 6,867 applicants expressed interest in studying in a distance education format (compared to the first educational program). Of the applicants, 603,886 were women (52.7%) and 542,858 were men (47.3%).
During the meeting, reports from the officials were heard. Three items on the agenda were discussed in detail, future tasks were outlined, and relevant decisions were made.
