The Department of Pedagogy of the International Nordic University was established on August 29, 2022. This department was opened under the Faculty of Economics and Pedagogy and carries out educational, educational-methodological, scientific-research, mentoring-apprenticeship, as well as training, retraining, advanced training of scientific-pedagogical personnel, as well as spiritual-enlightenment and educational work. Currently, 12 professors-teachers and 1 teaching assistant work at the department under the leadership of Dilafruz Miraliyeva.

The department conducts 3 co-educational programs at the undergraduate stage:1. TU BA (Hons) International Business;2. This is BSc (Hons) industrial management;3. Computer engineering (multimedia technologies). International co-educational programs “2+2” and “3+1” operate in these areas. A joint diploma (with two degrees) is awarded by the Northern International University and the University of Karelia in Finland.

They help students develop practical skills alongside their theoretical knowledge. The department places great emphasis on practical training; students participate in various projects, undertake internships at companies, and engage in business simulations. Graduates have the opportunity to secure employment at prestigious companies, as well as in government and international organizations. They can pursue careers as economists, managers, finance specialists, applied mathematics experts, banking professionals, accountants, and business managers (MBA). Furthermore, the department creates a favorable environment for students to engage in research activities; under the guidance of faculty members, students can conduct research, participate in conferences, and publish scholarly articles. Music education includes all areas of education, including the psychomotor area (skill development), the cognitive area (knowledge acquisition), and in particular, the affective area (the student's willingness to accept, assimilate and share what). Including appreciation of music and sensitivity. Many music education curricula involve the use of mathematical skills, as well as the use of fluidity and understanding of a secondary language or culture. The consistency of practicing these skills has been shown to benefit students in many other academic fields, as well as improve performance on standardized tests such as ACT and SAT. Music preparation from preschool to post-secondary education is common, as the practice of music is a key component of human culture and behavior.

Foreign languages

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Department of Foreign Languages has begun its activities in September. The department consists of 23 teaching staff, 2 of whom are visiting professors from Finnish universities and teaching Finnish to our students. The team of our department offers students interesting practical lessons in developing their English, German, Finnish and Russian language skills. Our department’s motto is: “To train the youth of the New Uzbekistan as strong specialists with foreign language skills”. In this regard, our teachers carry out their duties based on modern European teaching standards. Our department’s one of the main goals is to teach foreign languages to students based on Finnish educational standards and using modern language teaching methods. Our team collaborates with experts from partner universities in Europe, in particular Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden, and annually invites international lecturers and consultants. The Department of Foreign Languages regularly participates in international European projects, and teachers also actively participate in foreign projects to improve their professional skills.

The objectives of a Foreign Languages and Literature Department typically aim to foster linguistic proficiency, developing students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in one or more foreign languages to a high level of fluency. Besides, the department develops students’ cultural awareness, and critical thinking, introducing students to the cultures, histories, and societies of the countries where the language is spoken. This includes understanding cultural nuances, traditions, literature, and societal structures. Secondly, the department trains students as future teachers of the English language by teaching them methodology of teaching, lexicology, material development, foreign literature, exploring themes, styles, and historical contexts, while also fostering an appreciation for literary traditions. Finally, the department is aimed to research the modern trends in linguistics along with analyzing foreign language literature.

Department of Social Sciences and Journalism, International Nordic University The Department of Social Sciences and Journalism , part of International Nordic University, was established on April 22, 2024. The department's activities cover educational, educational-methodological, and research work, mentorship traditions, as well as the training of scientific-pedagogical personnel, and spiritual-educational and character-building work. Currently, the department has 14 professors and instructors and 1 educational support staff member . Goals and Objectives The department's primary goal is to train competitive, highly qualified professionals, to nurture talented specialists demanded by society, and to apply the latest achievements in the social sciences, humanities, and law to the educational process. Academic Programs Bachelor's Degree: History – 60220300 Journalism – 60320100 Jurisprudence (Law) – 60420100 Master's Degree: History – 70220301 Journalism – 70320101 International Cooperation For students in the Journalism program, a dual-degree program has been launched in cooperation between UzReport and International Nordic University. This project gives students the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in modern journalism and media, while also developing into internationally competitive professionals. The addition of the Jurisprudence program allows the department to train qualified specialists not only in history and journalism but also in the field of law — further strengthening the department's position within the social sciences and humanities education system and offering students a broader range of professional development options.
