Intensive training on the topic "Principles of continuous professional development of English language teachers" was held in our capital within the PreSETT project of the British Council.
D. Nasriddinov, head of the Department of Foreign Language and Literature of the Nordic University, and senior teacher S. Sodikova took part in the training and promoted the project "Application of reflection practice in language teaching".
Foreign experts such as Thom Kiddle, Emma Jayne Robinson, Lisa Mann shared their skills and experience with the participants during the intensive training.
New experiences are important in furthering the culture of quality in the training of future English language teachers.

Education Transformation: Nordic Faculty at CONNECT
They will enhance their knowledge and experience within the framework of CONNECT — Collaborative Network for Educator Capacity and Teaching Transformation, a professional development program organized by one of Malaysia’s prestigious higher education institutions, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
The program is aimed at strengthening educators’ professional competencies and provides hands-on learning in modern pedagogical approaches, digital learning design, advanced assessment mechanisms, service learning, and future-oriented curriculum development.
As part of this two-week educational visit, the Nordic delegation will be in Kuala Lumpur and Kedah, actively participating in CONNECT-related trainings, seminars, and practical workshops.
This international academic visit holds significant practical value in adopting global best practices, strengthening international academic cooperation, and introducing innovative approaches into the educational environment of Nordic International University.

Training Week: Best Practices Are Taking Shape
During the trainings, areas such as lesson planning with the help of AI and prompt engineering are being analyzed. Through innovative pedagogical methods, the sessions are conducted in an interactive and engaging manner.
Teachers are gaining opportunities to review their lessons, reflect, and make new pedagogical decisions. New valuable experiences are being formed for implementation in the teaching process.
