On March 21, Nordic International University widely celebrated the Eastern New Year — the national holiday Navruz — under the inspiring slogan "May Your Values Remain Eternal, Navruz."
As nature awakens with the breath of spring, the university grounds were adorned with festive spring decorations reflecting our national heritage. The Nordic community welcomed this beautiful occasion in traditional Uzbek attire, demonstrating unity and hospitality.
As part of the "Uzbekistan Trek-2025" program, Nordic University warmly welcomed a group of Harvard University master's students and researchers visiting Uzbekistan.
The rector of Nordic University, professor Sherzod Mustafakulov, congratulated the event participants and guests, extending his heartfelt wishes.
Charos Akhmedova, a teacher at Nordic University and winner of the international competition "European Stars," along with Zarnigor Umarova — a talented singer, "Nihol" award winner, and participant in the international music show "The Voice" — captivated the audience with their outstanding performances. Other gifted vocalists also delighted the guests with their artistry.
The immortal spirit of Navruz, with its universal and timeless values, shone brightly as international guests from various countries were invited to explore the university grounds. Guests admired beautifully arranged tables filled with traditional delicacies from different regions of Uzbekistan, spring dishes, exhibits of folk arts, handicrafts, and national attire.
The traditional "full cauldron" ritual, symbolizing abundance and prosperity, was showcased. The time-honored dish sumalak, cooked overnight, was served to the guests. Freshly baked kuk samsa was presented straight from the tandir ovens, and fragrant Uzbek pilaf was generously offered.
Throughout the celebration, guests eagerly participated in traditional games such as tug-of-war and besh tosh. Women also engaged in the customs of applying usma and henna.
Colorful kites filled the clear sky, and doves — symbols of peace and friendship — were released into the air.
The Harvard University guests expressed their gratitude to Nordic University for the memorable celebration and warm hospitality.
As a token of appreciation, they were presented with traditional Uzbek clothing.
Members of the distinguished delegation, representing various nationalities, witnessed Uzbek customs firsthand, actively joining in the festivities. They left heartfelt impressions in Nordic University's "Dil Izhorlari"(expressions of the heart) book.

Nordikda “Mehr ulashaylik” nomli konsert dasturi namoyish etildi
Unda Toshkent shahridagi 77-sonli ixtisoslashtirilgan maktab-internatning 20 nafar ko‘zi ojiz va zaif ko‘ruvchi o‘quvchilari, universitet professor-o‘qituvchilari, Maxsus pedagogika (Logopediya) yo‘nalishi talabalari ishtirok etdilar.
Tadbir mezbonlari — talabalar o‘quvchilarni samimiy kutib oldilar. Bu jarayon yoshlar o‘rtasida iliqlik, hurmat va o‘zaro qo‘llab-quvvatlash muhitini yaratdi.
Tadbirni Xalqaro Nordik universiteti rektori Sherzod Mustafakulov kirish so‘zi bilan ochib berdi. Rektor o‘z nutqida jamiyatda inklyuzivlikning ahamiyati, taʼlim maskanlarining ijtimoiy masʼuliyati va barcha o‘quvchilarning salohiyatini teng qo‘llab-quvvatlash zaruriyati haqida so‘z yuritdi.
77-sonli maktab-internat o‘quvchilari hamda universitet talabalari birgalikda jonli qo‘shiq ijro etdilar.
Konsert dasturida universitetning musiqa yo‘nalishida tahsil olayotgan ijodkor-talabalari sheʼrlar, raqslar, kuy-qo‘shiqlar orqali bayram kayfiyatini taqdim etdilar.
Tadbirning maʼrifiy qismida maktab-internatning fidoyi ustozi Brayl alifbosining paydo bo‘lishi, tuzilishi va undan foydalanish qoidalari bo‘yicha maʼlumotlar taqdim etdi. Ko‘zi ojiz o‘quvchilar qanday o‘qishi, yozishi va bilim olishi mumkinligini amaliy misollar bilan yoritib berdi.
Tadbir nihoyasida faol o‘quvchilar, yoshlar tashakkurnomalar va esdalik sovg‘alari bilan taqdirlandilar.

Mazkur uchrashuv talabalarga xalqaro imtihonlarning ichki jarayonlarini chuqur anglash, o‘z kuchli va zaif tomonlarini tahlil qilish, maqsadlarini aniqlashtirish va eng muhim, global ta’limga bir qadam yaqinlashish imkonini berdi.

One of the most serious problems putting our society at risk today is the spread of drugs and narcotic substances — criminal activities that pose a grave threat to the health and future of our youth. In a time when vigilance is more important than ever, our foremost duty is to ensure that students grow not only academically, but also as morally, socially, and physically healthy, well-rounded individuals.
Drug addiction does not only harm personal life — it destroys families, breaks connections with friends and society, and even deprives young people of future opportunities. Every young person must understand the value of life and feel a sense of responsibility for their own health and intellectual development. Drug-related crimes are not only violations of the law, but also serious offenses that undermine human dignity.
Therefore, the administration and community of Nordic International University call on all students to:
Deeply understand all the dangers and risks associated with drugs and illegal substances
Build strong social ties with friends and family
Lead a healthy lifestyle and engage in sports regularly
Never hesitate to seek help when facing difficulties!
Dear parents!
It is essential that you always serve as supportive and guiding figures in your children’s lives. Not only encouraging them to seek knowledge, but also sharing life experience and showing the right path will help protect them from the severe consequences of drug abuse and criminal behavior.
