Harvard University delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan has begun with great enthusiasm!

A warm welcome was given to 46 Harvard master’s students, doctoral candidates, and researchers upon their arrival in our capital.
The visit started with a tour of the Hazrati Imam ensemble, including the Hazrati Imam Mosque, Barakkhan Madrasah, and Tilla Sheikh Mosque, as well as the Center for Islamic Civilization, which was built as a symbol of our national identity, science, education and culture. Guests were provided with extensive information about the lives, academic contributions, and legacies of great scholars of the Islamic world.
The Harvard delegation’s journey in Uzbekistan continues in the ancient city of Bukhara. The distinguished guests were welcomed and hosted by the Bukhara regional prosecutor’s office and local authorities in accordance with our traditions.
They visited Labi Hovuz, one of the city’s central squares, and the statue of the legendary national hero Khoja Nasreddin Effendi. They also explored the Nadir Divan Begi Madrasah to the east of the pond and the Kukeldash Madrasah to the north.
The grand architectural ensemble of Poyi Kalon at Bukhara’s Registan Square, including the Mir Arab and Amir Alimkhan madrasahs and the Bolo Hauz complex, left a profound impression on the foreign delegation.
Additionally, the guests visited the architectural monument Chashmai Ayyub and the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, which has been preserved for over ten centuries.
Bukhara’s monuments, historical sites, architectural masterpieces, pilgrimage places, ancient walls, and bustling bazaars continue to captivate the Harvard visitors with their rich history and mystique. Throughout the journey, they are experiencing the enchanting atmosphere of the East firsthand.

A New Academic Year – A New Stage at the Nordic Family!
During the 2024–2025 academic year, achievements were reviewed and future tasks were set.
At Nordic, the 2024–2025 academic year went down in history as “The Year of Quality in Education and the Enhancement of Scientific Research.”
During this period, the quality of education improved. Scientific potential grew by 6.8%. More than 40 international delegations and ambassadors visited.
Nearly forty new books and manuals were published. Our students won prestigious international grants and scholarships.
The TasIMO-2025 Olympiad and many major projects were successfully held. In the new academic year, Nordic continues to expand and confidently moves toward new milestones.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, Rector Sherzod Mustafakulov declared it as “The Year of Moving Toward a Green University: Training Competitive Specialists Based on the Demands of the Global Labor Market.”
In the new academic year, the potential of the university community at Nordic will be united under this title, laying the foundation for the university’s unique path of advancement.

Odoo, TATU and Nordic: qualified specialists for the digital economy
Odoo is an ERP platform widely used around the world with 7+ million users. It enables automation of processes ranging from manufacturing to finance and education.
At the meeting:

➖ Providing experience and employment opportunities in working with ERP systems
➖ Increasing the competitiveness of future specialists
This cooperation is an important step in training qualified personnel for the digital economy.
