Students of the Special Education program, under the leadership of Senior Lecturer Zulfizar Bakhadirova from the Department of Pedagogy, participated in a New Year’s celebration event at the Invivo Medical Rehabilitation Center.
The students shared in the joy of the children eagerly awaiting the New Year, danced with them, and congratulated them on the holiday.
Additionally, the students closely observed the processes of working with children during practical sessions. Dr. Zebo Karimova, a highly qualified surgeon at the center, provided the students with information about the medical-corrective pedagogical assistance available to children with hearing impairments.

Education Transformation: Nordic Faculty at CONNECT
They will enhance their knowledge and experience within the framework of CONNECT — Collaborative Network for Educator Capacity and Teaching Transformation, a professional development program organized by one of Malaysia’s prestigious higher education institutions, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
The program is aimed at strengthening educators’ professional competencies and provides hands-on learning in modern pedagogical approaches, digital learning design, advanced assessment mechanisms, service learning, and future-oriented curriculum development.
As part of this two-week educational visit, the Nordic delegation will be in Kuala Lumpur and Kedah, actively participating in CONNECT-related trainings, seminars, and practical workshops.
This international academic visit holds significant practical value in adopting global best practices, strengthening international academic cooperation, and introducing innovative approaches into the educational environment of Nordic International University.

Training Week: Best Practices Are Taking Shape
During the trainings, areas such as lesson planning with the help of AI and prompt engineering are being analyzed. Through innovative pedagogical methods, the sessions are conducted in an interactive and engaging manner.
Teachers are gaining opportunities to review their lessons, reflect, and make new pedagogical decisions. New valuable experiences are being formed for implementation in the teaching process.
