At Nordic International University, a meeting was held on the occasion of 1 October — Teachers and Mentors’ Day, dedicated to the implementation of the priorities outlined during the President’s meeting with educators and to advancing the quality of education to a new level.

During the meeting, a range of measures was outlined to ensure the effective implementation of these priorities across the university, further improve the educational process, support the professional development of educators, and strengthen approaches aligned with the evolving demands of modern education.

“Honouring a teacher means honouring not merely a member of a profession, but the future of an entire nation.”

Shavkat Mirziyoyev

A significant recognition was also announced: pursuant to a relevant order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, distinguished professionals in the higher education sector who have demonstrated conscientious service, contributed to providing high-quality education to the younger generation, advanced the development of the education system, and distinguished themselves through professional dedication were awarded the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge on the occasion of Teachers and Mentors’ Day.

It is particularly gratifying that this prestigious recognition was bestowed upon three members of the Nordic community.

In recognition of their longstanding academic and pedagogical contributions, Professor Muhammadsiddiq Amonboyev, Vice-Rector of Nordic International University, and Munis Abdullayev, Head of Department and Doctor of Economics, were awarded the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge.

The prestigious awards were presented in a ceremonial setting by the Rector of the University. The Nordic community warmly congratulated the distinguished educators on this well-deserved recognition and wished them continued success and new achievements in their academic and pedagogical careers.
The university’s talented student and practising engineer, E’zoza Ortiqova, winner of the “Future Engineers” Republican Competition, was also awarded the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge.

E’zoza’s achievement stands as a compelling testament to the strength of the teacher–student tradition at Nordic, demonstrating how young people can achieve outstanding results by combining knowledge with practical skills, initiative, and engineering thinking.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
