At the meeting dedicated to the 584th anniversary of Alisher Navoi's birth, students and young people were widely introduced to the place of the thinker in the thinking of the peoples of the world, his great contributions to world literature and culture.
The scholar of Navoi recognized February as the month of spirituality, literature and spiritual purification and invited the youth to deeply study and understand the teachings of Navoi.
... Navoi developed the criteria of the Uzbek literary language. Until Navoi, the Turkic peoples used Persian and Arabic languages, but with the lessons of the thinker Allama, they began to write in the Uzbek literary language. Our people sang Uzbek songs at wedding ceremonies. Letters began to be written in Uzbek.
After that, national literatures in their own languages were formed in all nations. Therefore, Navoi occupies an important place not only in the development of Uzbek literature, but also in the development of world thought.
The main dream of our people is the perfection of children. In this case, it is important to understand Navoi and explain it to children. If we know Navoi, if we spread love for his works, families will be strong, food will be found halal, lies and various vices will be avoided. By memorizing Navoi's ghazals, the ability to clearly express thoughts is formed.
In his teenage years, Navoi memorized more than 50,000 verses of his favorite poets. Therefore, his ideas are still relevant today. Let each of us make Navoi the property of our heart... - said Olimjon Davlatov.
At the meeting, Rector of Nordic University Sherzod Mustafakulov also expressed his warm thoughts about the priceless heritage of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, their contribution to the development of science and state affairs as statesmen in their time. It was noted that their attention to supporting the people of science and art by establishing madrasas, libraries, and scientific centers is commendable.
At the event, with the participation of undergraduate and graduate students and teachers who memorized Alisher Navoi's ghazals, "Receive a prize by memorizing a ghazal!" the competition was held.
Winners of the 100 ghazals from Navoi competition received monetary awards from the international public fund named after Alisher Navoi.
We congratulate Gulnoza Toshpolatova, a master's student, and Ibrahim Rashidov, a bachelor's student, on their achievements!👏👏👏
