The 1st meeting of the Nordic University was held. More than 10 important issues related to the near future of the university were discussed...

At the council meeting, proposals for the 2025-2027 action plan for the comprehensive development of the university, developed by all structures, were studied and approved. 


The issue on the agenda is the summary of scientific activities for 2024 and the issue of approving the plan for 2025. The results of the university's scientific-research works carried out within the framework of the state scientific-technical programs and a number of other directions were widely analyzed. Necessary tasks for increasing scientific potential have been defined. 


The council considered the issue of strengthening the university's international rating indicators and improvement measures based on the developed mechanisms. 7 main proposals for improvement and improvement of international rating indicators were put forward. 


Also, reports were heard and tasks were distributed on issues of defense and formalization of master's theses of Master's students, presentation in the virtual world, organization of the TasIMO-2025 Olympiad and international dissemination. 


The council discussed issues of improving the educational, teaching-methodical, scientific pedagogic and scientific research work of the professors of the department, organizing the final state certification in the field of education and specialties. 


The documents prepared for university pedagogues-teachers to receive scientific titles were introduced and unanimously approved by the members of the Council for submission to the UAC.


Also, a report on the state of recommending educational-methodical and scientific literature for publication was heard and measures for further improvement of this process were determined.

During the meeting, the OTS Secretary General closely familiarized himself with Nordic University’s education model, scientific projects, and international cooperation directions. The discussions covered topics such as integrating higher education across the Turkic region, joint programs, and the formation of scientific-research clusters.


As part of the visit, views were exchanged on the Turkic states’ common education space, the development prospects of higher education institutions, and enhancing the scientific potential of young people.

The projects presented by the students were noteworthy for their innovative thinking, practical solutions, and social usefulness. Each project was thoroughly reviewed by the university administration, who provided analytical feedback and recommendations for further improvement.


As a result of these processes, a new initiative — “Startup Garage” — is planned to be launched at the university. This platform will help transform students’ ideas into real projects, offering mentorship, technical support, and a creative space for development.
