The leadership and students of Nordic International University visited the Innovation Office and one of Uzbekistan’s largest technology hubs, INNO Technopark, to explore opportunities for innovation, research commercialization, and industry collaboration.

During the visit, participants were introduced to the technopark’s advanced innovation infrastructure designed to support the development and implementation of scientific ideas and technology-driven projects. They toured modern production facilities, office and co-working spaces, VR zones, biotechnology and standardization laboratories, as well as electronics and robotics centers equipped with globally recognized KUKA and FANUC industrial robots.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the winners of Nordic University’s “Future Scientist” Scientific Ideas Competition, alongside a special innovation voucher awarded to a university student who became a winner of the national “Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek” competition.

As a key outcome of the visit, cooperation memorandums were signed between Nordic International University, INNO Technopark, and the Office for Supporting Youth Innovation Initiatives under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Strengthening the Science–Innovation–Industry Nexus

Today, the success of modern universities is measured not only by academic excellence but also by their ability to integrate education, research, innovation, and industry. The newly signed agreements are designed to advance this mission.

Under the partnership framework, students will gain access to technopark laboratories, robotics centers, cutting-edge technical facilities, and industrial sites for internships, practical training, and applied learning experiences. This approach will foster a practice-oriented educational model that bridges academic knowledge with real-world professional experience.

Joint initiatives will be launched in strategic fields such as:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Robotics and Automation

3D Modeling and Digital Design

Software Development

Innovative Engineering Solutions.

These opportunities will enable students to acquire high-demand competencies aligned with the evolving needs of the global labor market.

From Idea to Innovation

A central objective of the collaboration is the creation of a comprehensive innovation pathway:

Idea → Research → Prototype → Startup → Market-Ready Product

This ecosystem will empower students to transform innovative concepts into commercially viable technologies and entrepreneurial ventures. Beyond individual projects, it establishes a foundation for the development of future technology companies and innovation-driven enterprises.

Expanding Opportunities for Young Innovators

The parties also agreed to collaborate on research grants, international programs, hackathons, innovation competitions, and scientific initiatives. These partnerships will broaden students’ access to both national and international innovation ecosystems and create new avenues for academic and professional growth.

The agreements further envision cooperation in the development of patents, utility models, and innovative products, as well as mechanisms for technology transfer, commercialization, and industry implementation. This will help ensure that student and young researcher innovations generate tangible economic and societal impact.

A New Stage in Nordic University’s Development

These partnerships mark an important step in the evolution of Nordic International University’s educational model. Students will no longer be viewed solely as learners but as researchers, innovators, startup founders, and active contributors to technological advancement.

By strengthening connections between academia, innovation, and industry, the university continues to build an environment where knowledge is transformed into real-world solutions and future-oriented opportunities.
