Perspectives on compact and effective governance were discussed.
In the Address of our President to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, the transition to a system of compact and effective state governance was proposed as the first priority.
On this basis, practical steps have been initiated to optimize the state governance system, eliminate redundant and non-specific functions and tasks, decentralize, eradicate duplication and parallelism, select competent and talented personnel, and implement a system of independent and direct operations.
Why are administrative reforms necessary? Are ministries and agencies prepared for the systematic governance envisioned by the President? Will the main conditions for systematic governance be fulfilled?
These questions are explored in an article by Sherzod Mustafakulov, Rector of Nordic International University, Doctor of Economics, and Professor, published in today's issue of the "People's Word" newspaper.
