The seminar aimed to familiarise academic staff and students with opportunities within the European Higher Education Area, eligibility criteria for international grant programmes, and practical mechanisms for developing and implementing international projects.
The seminar featured presentations by Professor Odil Qo‘ysinov, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations; Mahmudjon O‘tkurov, Project Manager at the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan; Professor Jahongir G‘ofurov, Vice-Rector of the University of Innovative Technologies; and Xumora Yunusxo‘jayeva, Project Manager at the National Erasmus+ Office in Uzbekistan.
The programme provided an in-depth overview of five key Erasmus+ opportunities available to Uzbekistan: Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), International Credit Mobility (ICM), Jean Monnet Actions, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and Erasmus Mundus Design Measures.
Particular emphasis was placed on the development of CBHE projects, the outcomes of the REILEAP and Text4Future initiatives, the Erasmus+ 2026 call for proposals, and the anticipated impact of the Food4FUTURE and GREENTEX initiatives. These topics were explored through practical examples and project-based insights.
The sessions also addressed Jean Monnet Actions, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under the Horizon Europe programme, and practical experience in implementing international projects.
Through expert presentations and practical insights, participants expanded their understanding of international grant opportunities and project development mechanisms. They also gained deeper insight into academic mobility, joint educational programmes, international research partnerships and prospects for participating in competitive grant schemes.
