A warm welcome was given to 46 Harvard master’s students, doctoral candidates, and researchers upon their arrival in our capital.

The visit started with a tour of the Hazrati Imam ensemble, including the Hazrati Imam Mosque, Barakkhan Madrasah, and Tilla Sheikh Mosque, as well as the Center for Islamic Civilization, which was built as a symbol of our national identity, science, education and culture. Guests were provided with extensive information about the lives, academic contributions, and legacies of great scholars of the Islamic world.

The Harvard delegation’s journey in Uzbekistan continues in the ancient city of Bukhara. The distinguished guests were welcomed and hosted by the Bukhara regional prosecutor’s office and local authorities in accordance with our traditions.

They visited Labi Hovuz, one of the city’s central squares, and the statue of the legendary national hero Khoja Nasreddin Effendi. They also explored the Nadir Divan Begi Madrasah to the east of the pond and the Kukeldash Madrasah to the north.
