Zhenisbek Piyazov
Uzbek and Karakalpak Opera Singer, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Bashkortostan, and Tatarstan, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation
Piyazov Zhenisbek Burkitovich graduated from the Nukus College of Culture and Arts in 2007. In the same year, he was awarded a 1st-degree diploma at the national competition “Young Opera” and enrolled in the Uzbekistan State Conservatory, majoring in Vocal Performance. Also in 2007, he received the Nikhola Prize for his powerful voice and talent in opera. In 2009, he was appointed as a vocalist at the Alisher Navoi State Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2010, he attended a masterclass in Minsk, Belarus, under the guidance of renowned opera master D. Vdovin and conductor Y. Bashmet, recognized among the most talented young vocalists in the world.
He was awarded the State Medal of Glory for outstanding performance in a concert program featuring masters of the arts and young performers of the republic, presented by the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In 2011, he graduated from the Uzbekistan State Conservatory as an Academic Singer. In 2011–2012, he was invited to the Gut-Immling International Opera Festival in Munich, Germany. He is currently working as a lecturer at the Uzbekistan State Conservatory.
