Nordic and DAAD: New Prospects for Cooperation with German Universities
The discussions involved Gisella Zimmermann, Regional Director for Central Asia, and Kanybek Sydykbekov, Regional Programme Officer for Academic Cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation with German universities, as well as the key priorities and objectives related to the new academic programmes planned to be launched at Nordic University. Particular attention was also given to the opportunities available for students within DAAD scholarship programmes.
In addition, the participants addressed issues related to promoting the in-depth study of the German language, expanding opportunities for students to participate in the OnSET international language examination, and enhancing professional development opportunities for faculty members at German higher education institutions.
The meeting marked another significant step toward strengthening bilateral academic cooperation and creating new opportunities in education and research, while further advancing international education, scholarships, and academic mobility.

“Miss Nordic – 2026”: The Nordic Crown Has Found Its Queen!
Our female students demonstrated not only elegance and charm but also knowledge, eloquence, and a creative approach that made each participant unique.
The competition began with an essay-writing stage, testing the participants’ analytical thinking and ability to express their ideas clearly. During the self-introduction round, contestants impressed the audience with their confidence and charisma. The national costume challenge highlighted cultural heritage and celebrated national values through creative interpretations. Finally, in the free-theme stage, participants showcased their artistic talent and stage skills.
👑 This year’s Miss Nordic crown was awarded to Khusniyabonu Maxmudova, who proudly claimed first place.

Internship: A School of Professional Growth
The students completed their practical training at the U.Q. Qurbonov Republican Children’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital. During the internship, they observed specialists working with children who have developmental disorders and became closely acquainted with modern methods of speech therapy rehabilitation.
They also received professional guidance from specialists on diagnostic procedures and the organization of comprehensive corrective support.
Most importantly, the students had the opportunity to connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world professional practice.
They were also introduced to the organization of an inclusive education system within the hospital, where children undergoing long-term treatment continue their learning process.
This experience became not only a professional training ground but also a school of humanity, teaching future speech therapists the values of patience, empathy, and compassionate care for every child.
