The official opening ceremony took place at Jasorat Park, where the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was performed.
The ceremony continued with a welcoming address by Professor Sherzod Mustafakulov, Rector of Nordic International University.
More than 1,000 students embarking on their Master’s studies were congratulated on entering a new stage of their academic journey.
The celebratory programme continued in a vibrant atmosphere with musical performances by the “Nordik Taronasi” ensemble, followed by a coffee break.
The new students were then introduced to the university’s academic and research environment. Particular attention was given to supporting their smooth integration into academic life and equipping them with comprehensive information on how to make the most of the educational opportunities available at the Master’s level.
Students received structured guidance on the university’s academic and extracurricular life, institutional values, code of conduct, as well as their rights and responsibilities. They were also provided with detailed information about the objectives and conditions of study, the role of independent learning, and the credit-modular education system.
The Orientation Day sessions enabled students to gain a practical understanding of the educational process and identify key directions for their future academic activities at the Master’s level. For those taking their first steps into the university’s research environment, the programme provided essential guidance on the interconnectedness of independent learning, academic responsibility, research engagement, and professional development.
