The Governor of Lapland Dr. Hannu Takkula and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Jari Vilen, visited.
A meeting of distinguished guests with students was held. Finnish diplomat and politician Jari Vilen gave students important information about the history and present of Finland, the most stable, happiest and equal country in international rankings.
The Mayor of Lapland, Hannu Takkula, introduced the students to the vast opportunities of the region for the world and young people.
Students got answers to many of their questions about living, doing business, working and traveling in Lapland.
During the visit, negotiations were held between the leadership of the Nordic University and the Mayor of Lapland, Hannu Takula.
During the negotiations, a Memorandum aimed at implementing academic exchange programs, joint research, strengthening the generation of innovators and leaders, work and travel programs for students was signed.
