The future of young people, the quality of education, and the labour market are among the most pressing issues of our time.

Today, Xalq So‘zi, a leading national newspaper in Uzbekistan, has published an analytical article by Professor Sherzod Mustafakulov, Rector of Nordic International University, entitled “Dual Education: A Bridge Connecting Young People’s Future with the Labour Market.”

The article offers an in-depth analysis of key developments in contemporary education. In particular, it explores the significance of initiatives proposed during the President’s meeting with teachers and mentors, aimed at taking dual education in higher education to a new level. It also examines the integration of theory and practice and the opportunities dual education creates for preparing students for professional careers at an early stage.

Furthermore, the article highlights the “Enterprise – University – Targeted Workforce” model, emphasising the importance of strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and employers to prepare specialists whose competencies align with labour market demands. It also examines Germany’s experience and the potential for drawing on international best practices to advance dual education.

The article underscores the importance of assessing educational effectiveness through graduates’ professional competence, practical skills, and ability to secure their place in the labour market.
Strong collaboration between education providers and employers is a key driver of youth employment, economic development, and the preparation of a competitive workforce. Addressing this timely issue, the article invites readers to reconsider the future of education, the opportunities available to young people, and innovative approaches to developing a workforce equipped for the demands of the modern economy.
