During the open dialogue between the Dean and first-year student group representatives, participants discussed ways to enrich student life, empower young people to realise their interests and abilities, foster greater collective engagement, and ensure that student-led initiatives play a more prominent role in university life.
Student clubs provide valuable opportunities not only to engage students in meaningful extracurricular activities but also to cultivate essential competencies, including leadership, teamwork, effective communication, creativity, and initiative. In this regard, particular attention was given to enhancing club activities, bringing students together based on their interests, and encouraging their participation in new projects and initiatives.
Student group representatives play a vital role in identifying students’ needs, communicating their views and suggestions, fostering a healthy social environment within their groups, and encouraging their peers to actively participate in university-wide initiatives. The meeting concluded with practical recommendations on how to carry out these responsibilities effectively, identify emerging issues in a timely manner, and develop solutions through collaborative efforts.
