"Night of Finnish education"
February 21 this year in the conference hall "Karelia" of the Nordic International University was held the "Night of Finnish education".
The conference was organized in order to further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland in the field of education and business, implement joint scientific and academic projects, participate in international grants, and deepen scientific research.
50 distinguished guests from Finland were present, in particular, the Minister for the Development of Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland Ville Skinari , the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Uzbekistan Ilkka Raisenyan, the rector of the Karelian University of Applied Sciences, Petri Raivo and heads of large Finnish companies. Representatives of ministries, departments, international organizations and the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took part.
Distinguished guests were greeted with respect.
The Minister of Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland Ville Skinari took part in the conference. On the unique aspects of the Finnish education system, which has a solid foundation and has achieved leadership in terms of quality and efficiency, best practices and these modern models. They focused on the importance of implementation in this area in our country.
In the evening, the ceremony of awarding the academic title "Honorary Doctor" to close strategic partners of the university took place. Rector of the International Northern University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Sherzod Mustafakulov solemnly awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor" of the University to the Minister of Development of Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland Ville Skinari and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Uzbekistan Ilkka Raisenyan.
An agreement was signed between the Nordic International University and the Karelian University of Applied Sciences.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the leadership of the NIU and the UNICEF office in Uzbekistan.
During the conference, mutually beneficial projects and proposals for cooperation on promising projects in the future were put forward.
At the end of the "Finland Educational Evening", which was held in a sincere spirit, the guests wrote their opinions and warm wishes in the university book of heartfelt expressions
